Footprints A Service of Remembrance for the loss of a child: Usually held just before Mother’s Day, this year Footprints was held in the lead-up to Father’s Day. At these particular times of year, the loss of a child can be particularly hard. They may be times of year when the pain of losing a child is difficult to bear, whether that loss is recent or many years ago. It may also be a time when remembering is important and a significant part of the pathway through grief. The Footprints Service is a service for anyone who has lost a child during pregnancy or at any age or stage of life or has been affected by such a loss, whether parent, grandparent, teacher, friend or family member. All are welcome. Footprints offers space to remember your child or children and the opportunity to light a candle in their memory. There is music, readings and prayers included as part of our time of remembering. Refreshments are served after the service.
